Character Setting

The Boss,this picture is a simple concept setting of the Boss,he is a powful man,he killed so many people that his eyes looks red,you can barely see his expressions due to the shadows he always stay in,but you can feel his strage secretive smile which makes you uneasy to stand around.

With respect to character design, it did not take us much time. First, we drew references from some realistic parkour pictures and videos, and then arrived at the characteristics of our main characters. After that, we had our clothing design. On the other hand, due to agent character of the two policemen, in combination with their respective physique and personality, we made clothing of the same style with different details and weaponries, hoping that both can form a strong contrast.



Because we don't know much about parkour, we have therefore gathered a lot of materials, watched a lot of videos, hoping to be able to grasp some basic actions and methods of parkour, and then we also imitated some simple actions to experience how it feels.

 

These are some hand painted manuscripts. We prepare to realize our start through the use of dynamic American cartoon method, and these elements are to be combined in the American cartoon.

Scene

The scene production process is very long, because we used a very big scene. Scene production has given me a lot of design and production experience as I come to understand how to draw reference, how to independently create, and how to make reasonable use of resources. I used to be a person who does not like to refer to my own independent creation first. However, under the influence of my companion, I found out that creation with a reference can enable your writing and drawing freely as you wish just like a fish in water. During our 3D production stage, due to machine performance restrictions, I got rid of many of my former bad habits of wasting resources. For model face number, UV division, and light shadow setting etc., I carried out several times of optimizations in order to ensure ultimate fast rendering.

Comic Script

The following is a preliminary sketch of the cartoon structure. Sketch is an excellent way to express idea, because it is endowed with more possibilities and much clearer objectives. We have also drawn our own respective conceptual sketches or drafts.
